Description

Concert 23.09. / 19:00 + Finissage. Displace 17:00 - 19:00 free admission native - origin - roots - local These expressions describe IHEIMISCH. IHEIMISCH are the young swiss musicians Simone Felber and Adrian Würsch. They met at Lucerne Conservatory. Simone Felber studied classical singing and Adrian Würsch the swiss diatonic accordion. Their different origins let them discuss about the roots and the sound diversity of the different genres they are used to play. This mixture of classical music and different folkmusic styles is the bottom of a new sound they create. Simone Felber started her Pre-Studies in classical singing at the Lucerne Conservatory with Barbara Locher in 2011 and received her master’s degree in January 2018. Dealing with the human voice gives her the opportunity to try out different vocal techniques, which led her to take yodelling classes with Nadja Räss. Besides her concert activity as a singer, Simone Felber works as a singing teacher at the music school Menzingen (ZG), as conductor of the Jodlerklub Pilatus, Lucerne and the Youth Choir jutz.ch and she teaches courses at the KlangWelt Toggenburg. Adrian Würsch got in touch with swiss folk music and the swiss diatonic accordion in his early childhood. During his youth he collected practical experiences in several traditional, as well as rock and pop bands. In 2011 he started his studies in folk music at the Lucerne conservatory and received his master’s degree in January 2018. With various projects and bands Adrian focuses on the divers possibilities to use his instrument, both in traditional and other styles of music. Adrian also works as an instrumental teacher in several music schools and music course weeks. The current programme of IHEIMISCH consists yodel songs, traditional natural yodel, folksongs, own compositions, as well as traditional songs from other countries.
